The SAIL team has been connecting the Canadian innovation ecosystem since 2024. Their first contribution was the Simple Agreement for Innovation Licensing (SAIL), an IP licensing framework that streamlines tech transfer from Canadian universities to startups. It is the result of pan-Canadian consultations with founders, universities, investors, funding agencies, and industry groups.
